School is a Bummer

Who would've thought that sending the kids back to school today would be such a bummer for me?

I seriously enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday this year -- are you as shocked as I am?!?

Jeff had Tuesday - Friday off work, and at first I thought that might be a problem.

But it was heavenly!

I got my annual Thanksgiving (insert cold, flu or pneumonia here).

But it was totally fine -- I spent all of Friday in bed after seeing the doctor and I LOVED it!

Saturday was glorious with the football game and some stress-free Christmas shopping.

Let's not talk about Sunday . . .

Regardless, I hated to see the kids go back to school today.

I'm not ready for swimming, homework, carpool, . . . .

This Thanksgiving seemed so much more relaxing and enjoyable to me, too. I loved it so much, it was quite difficult to step back into normal life again.

Sorry you got sick, though! :(

P.S. I saw Josh at the library tonight. When did he grow a foot?! Holy cow.

DITTO!!! I can't wait for the christmas break and I'm quite ANNOYED that the kids have to go on Mon. & Tue. instead of having the entire two weeks off. DUMB!!

Wendy,
I am so happy to see a post from you...I was beginning to worry about you..So happy to hear that your Thanksgiving was a good one(even though you were sick)...Also, great to hear the word stress-free and Christmas in a "happy" sentence!! Hope to see you sometime soon:) You do have the tree up right??

I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving, sickness and all. I'm sad it's all over.

Carp had the Thursday and Friday off. He asked me Wednesday to drive to Ogden with him while he did some work. That was a great start to everything. It was a nice Thanksgiving break. Even the kids were well behaved.

Maybe next year you might want to break with tradition and drop the cold/flu/pnemonia option. Might I suggest taking to your bed just to read a good book? It really is a fabulous experience.
