Flag Pride

Josh got up at 6am this morning to make sure flags were put up in the area. I was so proud of him getting up and doing this. Flying the flag today is what I needed ~ to feel that pride, to quiet the lasting fears since 2001.

I have friends who have made beautiful expressions regarding Patriot Day, please check them out:

Thanks for the link-love! Speaking of flags, I remember in the weeks that followed the attacks, the flag factories couldn't keep up with orders. I remember buying a flag balloon because we didn't have one -to fly on our mailbox.

Thanks for visiting. :)

Wendy, the flag looks beautiful against your incredibly green grass and Emma standing guard. Tell Josh, he did an amazing service for many today!!

This was an emotional day for me to return to blogging when there are so many remembrances of what this day is all about. The photo you posted is a wordless reminder of how much this country means to me. Thanks for this post.
